In the previous video I went into detail about how to counteract the publishing industry’s just extremely sluggish pace – while increasing your odds of getting published – by following what I call The Rule of 3.

The Rule of 3 may make you feel like you’re spinning a lot of plates at once… and that’s because you actually are! By following The Rule of 3, every day you’ll:

Be working on one manuscript.

Have one manuscript on submission to agents.

Have one manuscript on submission to publishers.

Of course The Rule of 3 can’t guarantee that you’ll get published, but it will make you feel actively involved in the publishing game. You'll be out there in it. Hustling. Pushing. Striving. You’re out-working other writers in your same shoes to increase your odds of getting published.

And like every other tactic in these videos, the Rule of 3 also empowers you. Taking these steps makes you feel good about yourself because you’re moving towards your goal by acting on what you can control. Feeling empowered, feeling positive and feeling good about yourself provide tremendous mental and emotional support when the submission/rejection process begins to feel overwhelming.

I recommend you implement The Rule of 3 as quickly as possible. You’ll be surprised at how motivational it can be.
