Hi… in previous videos I talked about the Rule of 3 and I wanted to give you one last recap because I think following this rule is essential for increasing your odds of becoming a traditionally published picture book author.

The Rule of 3 is simply...

1. Always be working on one manuscript.

2. Always have one manuscript on submission to agents.

3. Always have one manuscript on submission to publishers.

I look at publishing as a numbers game. The more (high-quality) work you have on submission, the better your odds that one of your manuscripts will hit an agent's or editor’s inbox at the exact right time.
